claudio_barbaranelli the accidentalist and murmurations made me feel like being somewhere in between canterbury and swindon... Favorite track: The Accidentalist.

redside The whole album is fabulous.

Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) "Sterbus", powered by Emanuele Sterbini (music) and Dominique D'Avanzo (lyrics), is an Italian band not working in the RPI realm - yet they are progressive in their own way. They include some excellent traits found more in the alternative rock genre, hence I'd put them into the "post-progressive" category - which is a good thing, since post-progressive rock has become one of my most favorite genres by now. Favorite track: Stalking Heads.

You’re eating sun-dried tomatoes and the sun is heating up Everything’s going to stop You’re living on automatic She will find a place to go Sure as hell her mind is on the move And you don’t know why she’s running far from you But I do - and I keep it just for me And you don’t know where she’s gonna rest her bones And the duel will be hard for she knows where to hurt Listen to your wild disquiet Feel your heart is breaking down Everything falls apart She was the sun, you’re a shadow She will find a way to burn She’s a shooting star, she’s gone too soon And you don’t know why she’s running far from you Yeah, I do - but I keep it just for me And you don’t know where she’s gonna rest her bones And the duel will be hard for she knows where to hurt Everything you wrap is fragile She was mine and she’s been yours You don’t need to charge a postage -you don’t need to pass through customs- ‘cause there’s nothing of concern And you don’t know why she’s running far from you Yeah, I do - yeah, she did it just for me And you don’t know where she’s gonna rest her bones And the duel will be hard for she knows how to love Keep eating sun-dried tomatoes

You, you love my mind Can you please just leave my past behind? All the people gone... All the nights I sang with Yoko and John... I don’t wanna be loved by you I just wanna be there, girl next door You can make all my dreams come true Softly Everything gets misunderstood when I think of the mess we’ve built up I can take the blame but I feel blue You beyond the wall Listen to my screams and my phone calls Meet me on the ledge wait for me at the landing of the stairs I don’t wanna be loved by you I just wanna be there, girl next door You can make all my dreams come true Softly Everything gets misunderstood when I think of the mess we’ve built up I can take the blame but I feel blue And every night I dream of you knocking at my door Behind the curtain you hide and I wonder what goes on At every residents meeting I argue about your dog But when you’re gone I miss your wooden shoes What can I do? I don’t wanna be loved by you I just wanna be there, girl next door You can make all my dreams come true Softly Everything gets misunderstood when I think of the mess we’ve built up I can take the blame but I feel blue You, you love my mind…

Polygone Bye 03:58
She said - I don’t want to be sad She said - I don’t like feeling bad I’m not the only girl She said - I’m alright when I’m done She said - I don’t like feeling wrong I’m not the only girl You’re not the only thing that I want Out of control I laughed at you all Before your show trial Out of control I lost my way home You’re on your own Trying I’m not the only girl You’re not the only thing that I want Out of control I laughed at you all Before your show trial Out of control I lost my way home You’re on your own Crying Polygone Bye... I’m not the only girl I’m just your lovely new best friend New best friend New best friend’s girl

B-Flat Love 03:25
Maybe this is just a song For the seasons yet to come For the lovers of one day For a no more crowded place Maybe this is just a song Born too many lives ago Years of drama and bad romance Waiting for another chance B-flat love B-flat love, babe Can’t get enough of this B-flat love Maybe this is B-flat love Always mine and never yours Looking for a better way To reinvent the wheel again Maybe this is B-flat love Put a mark on every word Many things have gone to hell For the manner they were spelled B-flat love B-flat love, babe Can’t get enough of this B-flat love Oh my love, oh my love Oh my love, nevermore She’s committed to the show She’s committed nothing wrong B-flat love B-flat love, babe Can’t get enough of this B-flat love Every day I climb a wall to forget the way we were Every memory looks small As I see it from above Every day I write a song For the Universe’s stars To fill up the quiet space Planets revolution’s on

I think you’d better play another game With your lovers when they call you While I’m hanging around I miss those early days when you said It was over but your bitterness was meaning come back D’you really want to share all your space all your grace, all your secrets with these devious friends You still believe you’re sane, I’m aware they don’t care ‘bout your feelings Why don’t you let ‘em go Meet me tomorrow To get another chance I like your body shape, all your nails your new hair and your canine teeth when I raise a smile According to my plans, just before this weekend you’ll forgive me And I’ll forget your split ends I’m not that kind of man almost fair always careful, in love with every girl in this town There’s something in the way I’m awake, she’s a waitress Please believe me, you’re the one that I want Leave it all behind We’re gonna rise again You can’t destroy the world we know You can’t destroy the love we own I think you’d better play another game With your lovers when they call you While I’m hanging around I’m not that kind of man almost fair always careful, in love with every girl in this town I like your body shape, all your snails your new hair and your canine teeth when I raise a smile There’s something in the way I’m awake, she’s awaiting For me, but you’re the one that I want Leave it all behind We’re gonna rise again You can’t destroy the world we know You can’t destroy the love we own

I can’t tell how everything fell in ruins… You can try to be hard and stand up against human nature but I’m gonna hurt you this time I won’t beg your pardon tonight And if you wanna save your skin don’t you dare chewing over ‘Cause I’m running faster than light And nothing is larger than life I won’t tell you war is over Crawling on the floor When the darkness takes your bones your blood cells lose control Over time they can understand what they call your behaviour But you’re gonna come through this fight They’re not gonna stop your being wild In between there’s no place to be Hang by a thread or a deadwood And I wanna carve it tonight Yes I’m gonna cut it tonight I won’t tell you war is over Crawling on the floor When the darkness takes your bones your blood cells lose control Words crumble falling down I see you drown In love with Major keys happiness Just take a rest From your fears I won’t tell you war is over Crawling on the floor When the darkness takes your bones your blood cells lose control

My friend Tim has another mindset He fills dreams with a swarm of chords and claims that everything you call insane is hiving in your brain with cricket chirps that can’t be told My friend Tim, in the mouth of madness He finds bees on a satellite, he swears that everyone has got to escape to get released from pain and find a way to breathe like a child again The colours of the rainbow Light up the stage The faded foggy swamps are far away The dawning on the mount slope marks the day I return to myself ‘Cause everyone has got to escape to get released from pain and find a way to breathe like a child again My friend Tim gave me another mindset

Paper actors exploding in the crowd Peals of thunder suspended in the sky Praying mantes devouring hornets’ brains Celebration of cruelty among all species You’re a fight you’ll never give up the line on the map You’re the border that you need to cross Believe in nerve cells and links We’re cogs in the wheel We’re quavers in a symphony Broken workers go marching down the town Burning airplanes are crashing to the ground Papal encyclicals against the faith Every word of love’s falling on deaf ears You’re a fight you’ll never give up the line on the map You’re the border that you need to cross Believe in nerve cells and links We’re cogs in the wheel We’re quavers in a symphony Anywhere you want to go Anytime you feel so low And the clouds come down too fast And the rain is turned to dust And your time is running slow Cry a river, feel its flow Take a picture of your heart Turn the tide and win your mind You’re a fight you’ll never give up the line on the map You’re the border that you need to cross Believe in nerve cells and links We’re cogs in the wheel We’re quavers in a symphony

Murmurations 08:01
Darkness made my eyes blind You can take my whole life I can’t see the cirrus clouds Harbingers of your divine love Hear the raindrops falling down Hide and take my mind apart Atoms floating all around Heartbeats take control of time I’m walking in front of you I can hear your breath behind my steps I’m lost if you call my name I promise I won’t look back, I swear To bring you back to life Darkness made my heart blind Silence fills my mind with lies I can see the sighed way out Light awakens any doubts I’m walking in front of you -Don’t leave me back- I can’t hear your breath behind my steps I’ll turn if you call my name -Please take my hand- I promised I won’t look back -Orpheus- Just before you were out Gods tear you out of my sight I will play my lyre I will play till I die this song Just before you were out I’ll grieve your loss among the beasts -till I die- Gods tear you out of my sight I’ll grieve your loss among the trees -till I die- I’ll grieve your loss among the beasts I’ll grieve your loss among the trees To bring you back to life

about

Sterbus Rome, Italy

Sterbus are from Rome, but their true musical spirit wanders much further afield, from the joyful power-pop of The Lemon Twigs to the rainy Portland of Elliott Smith and certainly all the South of England's ground-soils Cardiacs and XTC.

"Solar Barbecue" marks their comeback with a new ALL-INSTRUMENTAL opus centered around funny chords, frantic paces and exhilarating arrangements.
